Terms of Service

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not create an account. Where these terms refer to "we" or "us", they mean RealVows Matchmaking Ltd.

• You are 18 or over, and can prove it.
• You are legally free to marry, and are not currently married or in a civil partnership.
• You are seeking marriage or a committed long-term relationship leading to it.
• You have never been convicted of a violent or sexual offence, and are not on a sex-offender register.
• You have not previously been removed from RealVows.

One account per person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has it. Everything you put in your profile must be true and about you — photographs of you, an accurate date of birth, and an honest account of your circumstances.

Date of birth, gender and the gender you are seeking are locked once your profile is live, because they set the filters other members are matched against. Ask support and we will correct a genuine error after a short re-verification.

RealVows is free. Signing up, building a profile, getting verified and receiving introductions cost you nothing.

• There is nothing to buy. No subscription, no membership tier, and no card kept on file.
• Nothing renews, because there is nothing to renew.

We promise to apply your stated filters honestly, to score every candidate the same way, to show you the full breakdown behind each introduction, and to deliver it to you.

We do not promise that a match will reply, that you will meet, or that you will marry. Compatibility scores are a considered opinion, not a prediction, and a high score is not advice to proceed. Verification confirms identity and age — it is not a background check, and it does not vouch for anyone’s character.

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent your identity, age, marital status or intentions.
• Use RealVows to solicit money, promote a business, or recruit for anything.
• Harass, threaten, or share another member’s photographs, contact details or private information anywhere.
• Scrape, copy or automate access to any part of the service.
• Attempt to reach members outside the introductions we make.

Report anything that concerns you through Help & Support. We investigate every report, and we remove members who put others at risk.

Your photographs and words remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to host them, and to show them to members you are introduced to, purely so the service can run. That licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. We will never use your photographs in advertising.

You can close your account at any time from Settings, and we delete your profile, photographs and verification video within 30 days.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is fraudulent, or where there is a credible risk to another member. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will tell you why.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You meet other members at your own discretion. Take the ordinary precautions: meet in public first, tell someone where you are going, and do not send money to anyone you have not met.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country.

We will email you at least 14 days before any material change takes effect. If you do not accept the change, you may close your account.

Questions, requests and complaints all go to the same place, and a person reads them: privacy@realvows.com. We reply within one working day and resolve most requests within thirty days.
